Why don’t you make a “fan put together” Outlander Lego set and put it on eBay?
I know I would want to buy some for my girlfriend. Especially just the stone circles, Claire and James.
A lot of people say they would buy my creations, but then find out how much it actually costs. Based on the number of bricks, it’s way more expensive than buying an official LEGO set. Outlander was about $100. Downton Abbey was closer to $250.
That’s just for the bricks and shipping (each required ordering from a dozen or more different sellers), and not the several hours of my time it takes to order, check for completeness, and assemble. The instructions generated by the computer are almost impossible to use if you aren’t the person who designed it, also.
So, in short, it’s not feasible to offer these for sale, and ready to ship when orders come in. I’m happy to do commissions, but be aware of how much they cost.
